Beef Recalled Due to E. Coli Risk

A company in Chicago recently announced the recall of some of their beef due to risks associated with the products.

Although no illnesses have been reported in connection with the beef products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the meat company wanted to be cautious.

Company Recalls Beef

JSM Meat Holdings Company, which is located in Chicago, issued the recall of some of their beef products this week.

The recall reportedly involves products that were sent to various companies in Florida, Georgia and Illinois.

Among the meat that has been recalled are Boneless Chucks, Flat Rounds and Gooseneck Rounds.

E. Coli Risks

E. coli can typically cause serious and potentially fatal complications to those who are exposed to the bacteria.

According to medical experts, babies, the elderly and those with generally weak immune systems are particularly at risk.
