FL Man Files Lawsuit in seaplane accident

The grieving father of seaplane pilot Michele Marks of Florida has filed an airplane accident lawsuit in the wrongful death of his daughter. Ms. Marks and 19 other passengers were killed in a seaplane crash shortly after taking off for the Bahamas.

The Chalk’s Ocean Airways seaplane plunged into the water shortly after the plane left land. The National Transportation Safety Board has discovered in preliminary airplane accident investigations that a fatigue crack on the 58-year-old aircraft may have been the cause of the accident.

The lawsuit alleges that the plane was too old for safe use and had not been properly maintained.

Ms. Mark’s father has named the airline, its owner, James Confalone, and an aircraft parts supplier as defendants in the airplane accident lawsuit. He is seeking $100 million in damages for the death of his daughter.
